ManyChat pricing: the real monthly cost, line by line

ManyChat's pricing page opens on the annual toggle, so the first number you see is not the one a monthly subscriber pays. Below is every real monthly rate, [the free plan after the March 2026 cut](/guides/manychat-free-plan-limit) to 25 contacts, worked bills at six volumes, and ReplyMagnet's flat plans beside them.

Published by ReplyMagnet · Last updated

The short answer

ManyChat's real monthly prices are $0, $17, $39, $99 and $199, billed per active contact, with overage added automatically once a post pushes you past the cap. For comment-to-DM on Instagram, ReplyMagnet bills a flat $9 for 25,000 engagements or $29 for 100,000 and queues overflow on every plan instead of billing it.

At real monthly rates ManyChat runs $0, $17, $39, $99 and $199, including 25, 250, 2,500, 7,500 and 25,000 active contacts. Overage past those caps costs $0.10, $0.05, $0.025 and $0.004 per extra contact on the four paid tiers.

Five tiers, one billing unit. Seats are the team members a tier allows; channels are how many of ManyChat's channels one account runs at once.

The published material documents only these caps and the per-contact overage. It does not establish whether price also steps up in bands above each cap, so the bills below are arithmetic from the published rates.

ManyChat free vs Pro: what each step unlocks

ManyChat's free plan, cut to 25 active contacts in March 2026, runs keyword comment-to-DM but collects no email or phone and has no follower check; those start at $17, and AI, Zapier and Mailchimp or Kit start at $39.

ManyChat calls its $39 tier Pro, which is the step most comment-to-DM setups end up on once they need an email list. What each step adds:

  • $0: 25 active contacts, 1 seat, any 2 channels, 4 live automations in total (comment-to-DM shares that cap), keyword triggers, story replies and links or PDFs in DMs.
  • From $17: 250 contacts, email and phone collection in DMs, Follower Status Check, Google Sheets, conditions and randomizer, branding removed.
  • From $39: 2,500 contacts, the AI suite, Zapier, Make and API access, Mailchimp, Kit, HubSpot, Klaviyo and other integrations, WhatsApp, SMS and email channels.

Trials of 14 days cover the $17 and $39 tiers. An annual plan cannot switch to monthly or downgrade until its term ends, so try monthly first.

How ManyChat counts active contacts

An active contact is a real person ManyChat interacts with during a billing month, counted on any automated, AI, broadcast or inbox interaction, and the count resets each period, so one busy post can fill a cap in days.

ManyChat prices by the active contact. A person who comments once and never returns still holds a billable place for that month. Trustpilot reviewers also report that inbox-only conversations count.

The meter therefore climbs with reach, not effort. For a working estimate use last month's invoice or a recent post's comment count, not your follower count.

What will my ManyChat bill be?

On ManyChat's $17 tier, 1,000 active contacts in a month bill $92 and 10,000 bill $992 at the published $0.10 overage; the cheapest ManyChat tier for 10,000 contacts is $99 plus overage, $161.50, while ReplyMagnet's $9 plan covers 25,000 engagements.

Each ManyChat figure below is base price plus overage times contacts past the cap, using the 13 September rates. It is our arithmetic, not a ManyChat quote.

Units differ, so read this as price at a stated volume rather than like for like. ManyChat counts people; ReplyMagnet counts engagements, and one matching comment's public reply and DM share one engagement. A person who comments on three posts is one ManyChat contact and three ReplyMagnet engagements. At one comment per person the $9 plan covers every row above; if your audience comments on several posts a month, the 25,000 row can pass 25,000 engagements, and the $29 plan's 100,000 covers that.

What overage costs when a post does well

ManyChat keeps sending past a plan's contact cap and bills overage automatically unless a threshold is set, so 3,000 extra contacts on the $39 tier add about $150 in one month; ReplyMagnet queues requests past its allowance and bills nothing extra.

None of that is hidden; it is ManyChat's documented model working as designed. The budget you set from the plan page is just not the bill a viral month produces.

An overage threshold can block extra charges instead. The reviewed documentation does not say what automations do once it does, so confirm before a launch.

ReplyMagnet handles the same moment with an overflow queue on every plan, including the free one. Requests past the allowance wait and release oldest-first when capacity returns. One honest limit: a queued request that outlives Instagram's 7-day comment reply window expires instead of delivering.

Multiple Instagram accounts

ManyChat documents one Instagram account per ManyChat account, and a second Instagram account needs a separate ManyChat account; whether that second account is billed as its own plan is not stated. ReplyMagnet connects 1 account free, 3 from $29 and 10 from $79.

ManyChat's help centre, updated 17 February 2026, is explicit about one Instagram account per ManyChat account. Ask before buying for several brands.

  • Channels are capped separately: any 2 at $0 and $17, 3 at $39, all from $99.
  • On ReplyMagnet the account limit is a plan line, on Instagram or Facebook: 1 on the free and $9 plans, 3 from $29, 10 from $79.

The smallest complete setup, compared

For a comment-to-DM campaign that also captures an email, ManyChat starts at $17 a month for 250 active contacts, with overage after that, while ReplyMagnet runs it free with 1,000 engagements and its $9 plan adds 25,000 engagements, CSV export and Mailchimp or Kit sync.

Where ManyChat still fits you better

If your setup spans WhatsApp, SMS and email from one inbox, or leans on HubSpot, Klaviyo or ActiveCampaign, ManyChat is the better fit, because those channels and integrations are what its tiers from $39 buy.

Count the rebuild before comparing subscriptions; the ManyChat alternative page covers that migration decision.

Switching

Instagram comments live on Instagram's own API, not inside ManyChat, so a ReplyMagnet campaign with the same keyword on the same post starts answering new comments the moment it launches, with nothing to export first.

  1. Read last month's ManyChat invoice for the real charge and the active-contact count. That pair is the number to beat.
  2. Connect the Instagram account to ReplyMagnet on the free plan. Create a campaign with the same keyword on the same post, attach the file or link, and turn on email capture.
  3. Test from a second Instagram account on a phone.
  4. Turn off the ManyChat automation for that keyword. Two live automations on one keyword race each other.
  5. Run one full post cycle, then compare completed deliveries and usable leads.

Contacts, tags and history in ManyChat stay there. The comment-to-DM setup guide covers the campaign controls.

ManyChat costs $0, $17, $39, $99 or $199 a month billed monthly, for 25, 250, 2,500, 7,500 or 25,000 active contacts; the $14, $29, $69 and $139 its page shows first are annual rates.

Is ManyChat free?

ManyChat has a free plan, cut in March 2026 to 25 active contacts, one seat and 4 live automations, with no email or phone collection and no follower check.

How much is ManyChat Pro?

ManyChat Pro is $39 a month billed monthly, or $29 a month on an annual plan, and includes 2,500 active contacts with overage at $0.05 per extra contact.

What happens if I go over my ManyChat contact limit?

ManyChat keeps sending and bills overage automatically: $0.10 per extra contact on the $17 tier, $0.05 at $39, $0.025 at $99 and $0.004 at $199, unless a threshold blocks overage.

How does ReplyMagnet pricing differ from ManyChat?

ReplyMagnet bills per engagement sent, not per contact: $0 for 1,000 engagements, $9 for 25,000, $29 for 100,000 and $79 for 400,000 a month, and requests past the allowance queue instead of billing overage.
